Making Accessibility Practical, Human, and Inclusive
Smart tools and insights to help you create more inclusive spaces โ without the overwhelm.
Clarity over complexity
People first, always
Progress, not perfection
Access for everyone
Our Mission & Approach
Our mission is simple: make accessibility clear, practical, and human. We focus on solutions that work in the real world, not just on paper. Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do โ we work with clients, our network of specialists, and lived experience advisors to ensure every recommendation is practical, achievable, and truly inclusive. Our approach is about taking the complexity out of accessibility so organisations can confidently create spaces and experiences that welcome everyone, anytime, anywhere.
Jess โ Spatial and Human-Centred Designer
With a background in spatial design and a focus on human-centred solutions, Jess has spent years creating functional, inclusive environments for schools, workplaces, and public spaces. She has seen how small design decisions can make a big difference โ and how confusing guidance can leave organisations unsure where to start.
Emily โ Occupational Therapist
Emily specialises in spinal injuries and accessibility in real-world contexts. Her experience helping people navigate barriers in physical spaces has given her a deep understanding of what works โ and what doesnโt โ for inclusion and usability. Sheโs passionate about turning complex accessibility requirements into solutions that are practical and meaningful.
How Veera Came to Be
Working alongside organisations across Aotearoa, Jess and Emily noticed the same pattern: businesses, councils, and community groups were struggling with scattered, inconsistent guidance and unclear standards. The challenges were universal, but the solutions were often fragmented.
Thatโs why we created Veera โ a simple, practical, and human-centred platform combined with expert consulting. By blending our professional expertise, lived experience, and a collaborative network of specialists, we provide tools, guidance, and assessments that help organisations make spaces and experiences genuinely inclusive, usable, and enjoyable for everyone.
